Bios

• Ms Amy

  Amy Hilt has been working at the Overland Park Goddard School since March of 2017 where she had been our Pre-Kindergarten teacher and is now one of our co-directors. She has her degree in General Science with an emphasis in IT and Early Education.

• Ms Taylor

  Taylor Grooms has been a great addition to our faculty here at The Goddard School and she is more than ready to assist your family with any and everything to help your children succeed! Taylor has worked for The Goddard School as the lead infant teacher 2019-2020, and returned to UMKC to graduate with her degree in Music Therapy. She came back to us after graduating, and is thrilled to be part of the administrative team! She has worked with children for 8+ years and is very passionate about doing so, her ultimate future goal is to provide Music Therapy Services in the NICU. Ms. Taylor is excited to meet your family and is eager to work with your child!

• Ms Amanda

  Amanda joined us in December 2022 along with her son who started preschool with us! She graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Hospitality Management. Amanda is eager to explore something new with being in a childcare setting and enjoys working with children and watching their development. She looks forward to meeting your family.

• Ms Ashley

  Ashley Wellington has been working for the Goddard School of Overland Park since January of 2015. She is the Lead Teacher in the Ladybugs, our Pre-Toddler classroom. Ms. Ashley studied Early Childhood Education at Lane College in Jackson, TN, and continued her Education degree at University of Missouri in Kansas City (UMKC). She looks forward to meeting you and your family.

• Ms Dasia

  Ms. Dasia joined our The Goddard School on Oakmont in October of 2022. She is currently the lead teacher in our 3-4 year old classroom, The Sunflowers. Ms. Dasia is best known for her art projects and hands-on learning approach. She has been teaching for over 9 years and is actively searching for new ideas to implement within her classroom.

• Ms Desarae

  Ms. Desarae has been working within our school since July 2022 after moving here from Colorado. She will continue to work as the Co-Lead in the Park Rangers. She has more than 4 years of experience in childcare and has her CDA for preschool/pre-kindergarten children. Desarae is also actively working on obtaining her Directors Certification. Creating an environment where a child can feel loved, educated and safe is her top priority and she is excited to continue her role in the Park Rangers.

• Ms Erin

  Ms. Erin has been a part of The Goddard School on Oakmont since May of 2022. She is currently the lead teacher in the Honeybee classroom and brings so much energy and excitement into the learning environment. Ms. Erin has 16 years experience along with her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her 16-year old daughter and preparing activities for her classroom. Ms. Erin revels in changing and influencing the lives of the students that enter her classroom and looks forward to meeting your family.

• Ms Kirah

  Ms. Kirah joined our school in September 2022 where she has been a great addition to the Morning Glories classroom. She has 2 adorable children of her own and has been working in childcare for over 9 years! Kirah received her Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials™ and has been teaching ever since. She is intentional with providing an environment where children can learn through play and loves watching them meet their developmental milestones. Ms. Kirah looks forward to meeting your family.

• Ms Krista

  Miss Krista has been working with us at the Overland Park Goddard School since November 2021. She is one of our infant teachers and does an amazing job with the babies. She has a 2-year-old daughter and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. Ms. Krista is looking forward to meeting you and your family.

• Ms Kristen

  Kristen Duden has been working at the Goddard School of Overland Park since October 2017. She is the lead teacher in the Morning Glories Classroom. Ms.Kristen moved to Kansas from Philadelphia, PA. in May 2016. Kristen graduated from Connections Academy and she has her Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials™. She provides activities each day throughout the entire day to keep her children constantly engaged and learning. She looks forward to teaching your child!

• Ms Breanna

  Ms. Breanna joined our team in December 2022. She is originally from North Carolina and enjoys spending her time being a mom and constructing new activities and centers for her classroom. Breanna is eager to jump in wherever and however she possibly can. Breanna loves implementing and teaching the kids how to explore and accomplish new tasks daily while creating fun hands-on activities for them to complete.

• Ms Hannah

  Hannah Schmidt has been at the Overland Park Goddard School since August of 2017. She has 6 years of childcare experience. Ms. Hannah is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development and continues to provide love & care for each child that comes into her classroom, she looks forward to meeting you and your family.

• Ms Lamanique

  Ms. Lamanique has been a part of The Goddard School since August of 2015. She is the assistant teacher in the 1-year-old classroom, The Lady Bugs. Lamanique is actively pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Johnson County Community College. She looks forward to meeting you and teaching your child.

• Ms Mary

  Miss Mary has been working in our infant room, The Sweet Peas since she joined us in December of 2020. Mary enjoys arts & crafts and likes going on walks. She also incorporates her hobbies into what she does in her classroom. Mary has completed many hours of training courses in early childhood education and is looking forward to working with your family.

• Ms Razia

  Ms. Razia has been with us since August 2018 and has many years of experience working with children. She is available to jump into any classroom and provide quality hands-on care for each child. Ms. Razia looks forward to meeting your child and family.

• Ms Sandhyarani

  Miss Sandhya has been working at the Goddard School of Overland Park since February 2022 where she has been a teacher in our infant classroom, the Sweetpeas. Sandhya loves traveling when she can and spending time with her family and friends. Miss Sandhya also has a master's degree in microbiology. She loves working with children and looks forward to meeting you and your family.

• Mr Mason

  Mr. Mason joined us in May 2023, and he has been in the education field for 12 years! With his experience in education he has been a key part of our Sunflowers classroom. Mason has 2 children of his own, ages 7 and 3. He studied Journalism and English Education at both Missouri University and the University of Central Missouri. He is an advocate for mental health and is Youth Mental Health First Aid Certified. Mr. Mason loves to see the enthusiasm kids have for learning and his goal is to provide essential tools for each child to thrive.
